The Other Bar Can Help
The Other Bar is a network of recovering lawyers, law students and judges throughout the state, dedicated to assisting others within the legal profession who are suffering from alcohol and substance use/abuse disorders or problems.
Our organization is founded on the principle of anonymity and provides services in strict confidentiality. The program is voluntary and open to all California lawyers, judges and law students. Our consultants and volunteers stand ready to assist their colleagues in all areas of recovery.

The Other Bar offers many options for recovery support
Weekly Meetings
Currently offered both in-person and on Zoom, our support group meetings provide the flexibility to connect with others from wherever you are.
MCLE Presentations
We are available to present MCLE courses on Competence: Attorney Health and Wellness and Competence: Substance Use Disorders and Mental Health Concerns to firms, local groups, and conference events, both online and in person.
