Krieger Meritorious Service Award

Heiting, former President of the State Bar of
California, the Riverside County Bar Association, and The
Other Bar, recently received the James A. Krieger Meritorious
Service Award, the highest honor awarded by the Riverside
County Bar Association. Established in 1974, the Krieger
Award recognizes lawyers or judges who have established
outstanding records of community service over their lifetimes.
The award is not given every year, but only when extraordinary
accomplishments of a particularly deserving individual come
to the attention of the selection committee.
Jim also recently rode his horse Dragonfire to the World
Championship and World Grand Championship in August and
September in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Dragonfire has since
been named the Trainer's Association Horse of the Year in
his class and will be featured in the book, The Year of
the Horse.
